Students at the University of Ottawa Defeat BDS Motion

On Tuesday, March 13, students at the University of Ottawa defeated a divisive and hateful BDS motion proposed at the university’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), which was proposed by a number of anti-Israel clubs on campus.
Nearly 500 students packed two overflow rooms for the vote, which, despite major campaigning by the anti-Israel sponsors, failed to pass by a significant margin. Hasbara Fellowships Canada’s fellows at both the University of Ottawa and Carleton University were closely involved in the campaigning, supported by Campus Advisor Ariella Daniels.
We salute and applaud all the students involved in defeating this hateful BDS motion!
