Information we collect

• Information you give us: name, email address, mailing address, phone number, school and graduation year, program application details, event registrations, and messages you send us.
• Donation information: donation amount, date, and billing details. Payment card information is processed directly by our third-party payment processors; we do not store full card numbers.
• Automatically collected information: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and referring pages, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

How we use your information

• To run our programs, review applications, and organize events and travel.
• To process donations and send receipts and tax acknowledgments.
• To send newsletters, updates, invitations, and fundraising appeals, by email or by text message if you have opted in.
• To respond to your questions and requests.
• To improve our website and understand how it is used.
• To meet legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations.

How we share your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers that work on our behalf, such as payment processors, our CRM, email and SMS platforms, event and travel partners, and website hosting, who may use it only to provide services to us.
• Authorities when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Hasbara Fellowships, our participants, or others.

Text Messaging (SMS)

When you opt in to text messages, we collect your mobile phone number, your name and email if provided, the date, time, and web page where you gave consent, and records of messages sent to you and your replies (including STOP and HELP requests). We use this information only to send the text messages you agreed to receive, to respond to your requests, to honor opt-outs, and to keep records of your consent.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Information may be shared only with service providers that help us deliver messages (such as our SMS platform and CRM), who may use it solely to provide those services to us.

Email communications

You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any message, or by contacting us. We may still send you donation receipts and messages about programs you are taking part in.

Data security and retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
