Supporting the Iranian People’s Fight for Freedom

Over the past few weeks, protests have erupted across Iran. Yet again, the Iranian people rose up against the oppressive theocratic regime that has ruled the country for decades. This movement marks one of the largest waves of protest since the 1979 Revolution.

What we need to be paying attention to now is who is speaking up — and who isn’t.

The Iranian people are risking everything for basic freedoms. And yet, on many college campuses across the United States, there is a striking quiet.

When protests calling for the destruction of Israel swept college campuses nationwide, student activists mobilized quickly and loudly. But as Iranians fight — and die — for their right to live freely, most of those voices have disappeared. That silence is telling.

At Hasbara Fellowships, we view this as an opportunity. Our students are working to point out the hypocrisy and discredit the pro-Hamas activist network across North America.  Our students are calling out the double standard directly and challenging narratives that claim to defend human rights but only seem interested in attacking Jews and Israel.

In doing so, they help restore moral clarity — and ensure Jewish students are not standing alone.

And as the anti-Israel activist network continues to reveal its hypocrisy, we will continue to expose it clearly and unapologetically — while equipping our students to confront antisemitism and propaganda with confidence, credibility, and strength.

Earlier this month, 80 Hasbara Fellows returned from Israel after an intensive delegation focused on leadership, advocacy, and strategic communication. They are back on their campuses — applying the training they received, organizing peers, and engaging publicly with clarity and confidence. At a moment when narratives are being contested in real time, these students are not watching from the sidelines. They are stepping forward.
