December 2025 Mission: Where Ancient History meets Modern Times

A core component of our mission trip is ensuring that Fellows learn directly from a range of voices who bring firsthand experience and deep knowledge of Israel. On our Student Leadership Mission to Israel, IDF soldiers, Anava Berman and Nehemia Danzig, spoke candidly with our students about their experiences surrounding October 7th, offering powerful and personal insight into that devastating day.

Our students also attended a presentation with Charlotte Korchak, a Hasbara alumnus, who has worked in Israel advocacy education for over 14 years and has now started her own movement, the Jewish Education Institute (JEI), dedicated to strengthening and advancing Israel education. Her discussion with the fellows provoked intense conversations delving into the details of the historical context of the conflict. Arming our students with these facts further strengthens their advocacy skills, enabling them to confront misinformation with clarity, confidence, and a historical grounding.

After hearing from impactful speakers, our students visited Hostage Square in Tel Aviv to reflect and stand in solidarity with the families of the 251 people who were taken hostage on October 7.

Surrounded by photos, memorials, and empty chairs, our Fellows paid their respects to the hostages and will continue to keep their stories alive. After 843 days, all of the hostages have finally returned.
